Party Popcorn Balls

• Ingredients: 7
• Yields: 12 medium sized balls
• Serves: 12

ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 1⁄3 cup light corn syrup
• 1⁄3 cup water
• 1⁄4 cup butter
• 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 3 quarts popped corn
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

directions

1. Mix sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and salt in saucepan.
2. Cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
3. Cook, without stirring to 270 degrees to 290 degrees on a candy thermometer.
4. Add vanilla stir just enough to mix.
5. Place popcorn in a large bowl.
6. Pour syrup over the bowl slowly and mix.
7. Wet hands slightly and shape into popcorn balls.

Made your recipe pretty much as given, although I did make it all into small balls not more than 2 inches in diameter, & had them on my finger food counter for a monthly group I host! Wasn't sure how well they'd go over, but the gathering of adults loved 'em! Thanks for posting the recipe! [Made & reviewed for one of my adoptees in this Spring's Pick A Chef]
