  • Mix sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and salt in saucepan.
  • Cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
  • Cook, without stirring to 270 degrees to 290 degrees on a candy thermometer.
  • Add vanilla stir just enough to mix.
  • Place popcorn in a large bowl.
  • Pour syrup over the bowl slowly and mix.
  • Wet hands slightly and shape into popcorn balls.

  1. Made your recipe pretty much as given, although I did make it all into small balls not more than 2 inches in diameter, & had them on my finger food counter for a monthly group I host! Wasn't sure how well they'd go over, but the gathering of adults loved 'em! Thanks for posting the recipe! [Made & reviewed for one of my adoptees in this Spring's Pick A Chef]
