- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 chicken thighs (boneless chopped)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 onions (chopped)
- 1⁄2 lb mushroom (chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 5 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1⁄2 cup parmesan cheese
- 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
- 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 1⁄4 cup parsley (shreaded)
- 1 (10 ounce) box pasta (we use mostochelli)
directions
- boil pasta till al dente and set aside
- brown ground beef and sliced chicken thighs in vegetable oil along with chopped onion, mushrooms, garlic and lemon rind.
- Add salt, pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, paprika, sugar tomato paste and tomato sauce, and water.
- simmer 1 hour. Add cooked mostocholi and parmesan cheese. serve.
- This is great left over.
