Maple Free Pancake/French Toast/Waffle Syrup

There are times when shock horror, there was no syrup in the house. This recipe is so great as it is fast and delicious. The extract you use will greatly alter the end result. If you wanted to adult it up, an orange liquor would work well. It will keep in the fridge for up to a week, just heat before using.

ingredients
- 12 ounces apricot jam (preserves)
- 1⁄2 cup orange juice (fresh is best)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1⁄2 teaspoon almond extract or 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions
- In a saucepan, add all the ingredients and stir over a low heat until the syrup is hot and almost boiling.
