ingredients
- 1⁄4 lb butter
- 1⁄2 cup Crisco
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 (5 1/3 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
directions
- Beat the mixture without stopping for 30 minutes. Sufficient to fill 24 cakes.

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. I made this with Max's Hostess Twinkie Sponge Cake and have reviewed that separately. This is a filling, not a frosting so the other reviewers suggestion to use canned frosting I do not think would work. But, definitely find another filling. I used the almond extract that was indicated as an option in the recipe and it was gross as other's have reviewed. I served this at an event and half was thrown away, a complete waste of time.
