  • 10 slices of toasted bread
  • 12 cup hot water
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 12 - 34 cup sugar (depending on how sweet you like it)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 12 teaspoon sage

directions

  • Toast 10 slices of bread, break up into small pieces and pour hot water over to soften bread.
  • Add the 2 eggs beaten and chopped onion.
  • add sugar, and sage.
  • mix with your hands (or spoon if you prefer).
  • add salt and pepper.
  • mix well and stuff in bird or if cooking alone wrap in foil and put in pan.
  • bake at 325-350 for appx one hour to one hour and a half. (depending on how your oven works.).
