  • Combine water, squash and onions in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  • Cook for about 10 or 15 mins until squash is tender.
  • Drain water and return mixture to the pan.
  • Smash squash mixture with a fork until thoroughly broken down.
  • Stir in evaporated milk.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

  1. Our family enjoyed this very much. It is worth making for sure. I added ground sage to it for a little extra flavor because I left out the onions since my husband doesn't like onions. WOW!!!
     
  2. woooohooo... granny got it goin' on!! i only had fat free evap milk so i added 2 tsp butter when it was done boiling, then i added 1/2 can of evap and some fresh chopped parsley.. thats all i changed!! and i must say it was excellent!
