YUM! Sometimes the old recipes are the best ones! I had some apples that I wanted to use up, so I used quite a bit more than 2 cups, we like lots of apple so it worked out really well. At first I thought the dough was too stiff, but once the apple was mixed in it was fine. I sprinkled the entire top with cinnamon sugar before baking, and we didn't think it required an icing. Delicious. Your grandma's recipe is a perfect treat, great tasting and not too heavy. Thanks for posting, made for PAC Spring 2010.
