  1. Very yummy. I didn't use any milk and added a touch of nutmeg. I used left over challah from shabbat rather then the white bread. Since my kids love cream cheese and strawberry jelly sandwiches, I thought strawberry syrup would be a winner and it was. With the strawberry syrup they almost tasted like jelly doughnuts. Great brunch that I'll make again. Thanks for posting.

  2. This was pretty tastey. When I make it again though, I will be adding more eggs and less milk. It was a bit runny for my liking. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I've made this before only i put chocolate chips in the middle with the cream cheese. The gooey cream cheese and chocolate go together very very well.

  4. I made this for a pitch-in breakfast and received rave reviews! And it was pretty easy to make. I did adapt it somewhat, though: After softening the cream cheese, add 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar and 2T. strong coffee, blend well. I then spread this on the bread and proceeded as instructed. It just gave it a unique flavor, and was so good. Also, I used Italian bread, sliced thinly.
