"A classic, gorgeous, unexpected and a terrific holiday drink that is an alternative to straight champagne. "

• Ingredients: 5
• Serves: 1

ingredients

• sugar (for the rim of the glass)
• 1 lemon (for the rim of the glass and for making a twist to garnish)
• 1 1⁄2 ounces brandy
• 6 ounces champagne
• 1 dash Chambord raspberry liquor

directions

1. Cover base of a small plate with sugar.
2. Run lemon wedge around edge of a large martini glass.
3. Dip in sugar; set aside.
4. Fill cocktail shaker with ice.
5. Pour in brandy and shake.
6. Strain into martini glass.
7. Add Champagne, then a splash of Chambord.
8. Gently squeeze twist of lemon over the drink, then drop it in.
9. Serve immediately.

Made a double batch (or two!) for New Year's Eve. Very refreshing drink and much more sophisticated than I usually get!! LOL! This is a keeper!! Thanks.
