  1. This was quick and easy to slap together and the perfect size recipe for me to do on the fly! We raise and process our own hogs for butchering so I do not have 'sausage' on hand. I was looking for a way to make some sausage out of my frozen ground pork to use in [recipe=40684]Sausage Kraut Bake[/recipe] when I found this recipe. Would you believe my thawed package of ground pork weighed exactly 1 1/4 pounds?! This makes a fairly spicy, almost hot, sausage and worked out beautifully for the Sausage Kraut Bake. My MIL is terminally ill, so I have been taking meals to her and DH, who is caring for her. They both loved the combination of these two recipes and DH says he definitely wants this again! Btw, I'd sure like to have it again. I can't wait to try it on our son; I'm sure it will be a hit with him too. Thanks for sharing this recipe crazymom!!!

  2. Made this the other night for my DH and myself and it was delicious. I used lean ground pork that I had bought at the grocery store and shaped it into patties. It was fabulous. I will make this again and have already shared the recipes with my friends at work! Much healthier than store bought sausage, and you know exactly what is in it!! Thanks!
