  • Brown the hamburger, onion, bell pepper, and garlic in a large saucepan.
  • Drain.
  • Add soup, milk, worcestershire, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat through.
  • Serve over noodles or rice.
  • You can also add a can of mushrooms, drained, or slice some fresh ones and cook them along with the hamburger-bell pepper saute.

  1. One of our new FAVES! This was so easy and it made me look like I knew what I was doing! I made a double batch. I HAD to use up a lb of TURKEY breakfast Sausage that had been thawing in the fridge, so I threw that in as well and doubled everything else. Sounds weird, but it tasted SO good and now we have a yummy lunch for work as well. Thanks for posting this!
     
  2. Very tasty comfort food; brings back fond childhood memories. DH loved it. Very generous servings. I reduced the pepper to 1/4 cup diced sweet red pepper and added 1/2 cup water at the end as it was very thick.
     
  3. Nice recipe! I omitted the yellow pepper, but added 8 ounces of sliced fresh mushrooms. I served this over steamed spinach.
     
  4. Not bad but I think next time I will add a little more sour cream. I added fresh mushrooms and used a mild poblano chili instead of a sweet yellow pepper. Loved the addition of the pepper. It seemed a little bland to me.
     
  5. Hubby loved it and requested I put it on the rotation for frozen work lunchs!! So simple and great heated up. I used Silk unsweetened soy milk in lieu of skim and went a little light on the sour cream, topped with fresh parsley. YUM!
