Easy Pleasing Meatloaf

"I found this recipe several years ago and use it regularly. You can substitute BBQ sauce for the ketchup. Finely diced green peppers also are a nice addition."

  1. Great meatloaf recipe. I didn't have any stove top, so I had to sub with Pepperidge Farm Herb stuffing and I also omitted the onions and added an envelope of dry onion soup mix. I couldn't decide whether to use ketchup or bar-b-que sauce, so I used alittle of both. DH and I both agree that this is one of the best meat loaves we've ever had. Sandwiches will be awesome tomorrow!!!!! Thanks ms__bold...this is a keeper!!

  3. Two of my grandsons always request this meatloaf. It is simple and not full of a lot of ingredients. I always use pork stuffing, I really like the flavor it gives. I often skip the BBQ sauce and bake it with potatoes and carrots, covered with a package of gravy mix. Very good. I also make the full recipe and then divide into smaller loaves and freeze for baking later.

  4. The taste of this was good but mine did not hold together well. Not sure what I did wrong as many of the other reviewers said their meatloaf held shape and sliced well. I did let it rest, so I know it wasn't that. Will try this again and see what happens.

  5. I have spent countless hours trying to refind this recipe it was a smashing hit

Tweaks

  1. This is quick and easy and is the meatloaf recipe I frequently use. I use bbq sauce instead of ketchup. The stove top has the bread needed and the seasoning. How easy is that? Thanks

  2. This is a really good meatloaf. It's even better the next day as it gets a little firmer in the refrigerator. The stuffing really makes it. Of course, I used ground turkey instead of beef and added a dash or two of red chili flakes. Good one, sbsbea!
