  1. Thank You for sharing this! I made it this evening and it came out fantastic! I used margarine and apple juice combinations in the choices available here. The only additional thing I did was to sprinkle about 2 tsps. of light brown sugar over the bread mixture once it was put into the greased loaf pan. I'll definitely give it a try next time with coconut and half the sugar as you've suggested. THANKS again for sharing!

  2. This was so good. I used orange juice so it gave the bread a citrus like taste. Not too sweet, definately an adult snack.

  3. This is a really good bread. I added a little cinnamon & it turned out great. Thanks.

  4. Very nice bread. Not too sweet although I used the one cup sugar. Of the "wet" choices I used the milk as that was what I had on hand. Didn't even miss the cinnamon which I almost always use when baking with apples. Next time I'll try it with half the amount of sugar and with apple juice to get even more apple-taste. Thanks for posting.

  5. I made this for my preschool class and they loved it! I added alittle bit of cinnamon to the batter and used the orange juice, now I have to make more for my family.

Still in West Virginia but we've moved a few miles away, down to the county capitol. It's a compromise: bigger than our last town but smalelr than the "big city" of Cumberland MD, right up the road.
