  1. The flavour was alright (we used reduced sodium ingrdients), however, it was way too thick for us.

  2. I loved this beef stew. It was simple and tasty. I used tinned chopped tomatoes and normal gravy powder as I had no bisto. I didn't need all the flour mix as the gravy thickened nicely without it. Yum.

  3. Bravo! A wonderful flavor stew. You are right it is different from your normal beef stew recipe. I followed the directions completely. I made this recipe the night before and just added the potatoes in the morning. All I had to do is plug it in. I couldn't find Bistro at my grocery store so I added 2 Tbsp of Quick Cooking Tapioca the last two hours of cooking. The only change I wouldn't add teh water right away. When I came home from errands a couple of hours later, there was broth all over my counter. I have a 6 quart Rival slow cooker.

  4. I made this stew and it was so delicious! I did use some of the flour mix at the end but not all of it because I needed to add more beef broth at the last hour because it was getting just alittle too thick. I also cooked the vegetables in the broth a hour and a half before adding the other ingredients. We all loved this stew and will definitely make again, Thanks Lee-Anne

Hi my name is Lee-Anne and I live in Ontario, Canada. I have 4 children — 2 daughters and 2 stepsons, ages 11, 14, 16 & 16. We also have 3 dogs, so obviously our household is quite busy especially around supper/homework and making lunches time. During the week I need quick but yummy dishes to serve my family. And of course with 4 children and 1 husband to please — rarely do I hit a recipe that everybody likes. But that doesn't stop me from trying!
