I have been eaten this pie for over 55 years and it is awesome and recipe a simple. My sweetheart made this for me when I was 19, she was 17, I just made 2 sheet pie pans, 16”X 20”, 3 cups from the box of graham cracker pie crust , 2 sticks of butter, for the crust, mix and spread on pan, let it set up, I follow the original recipe from Kraft, The topping on one will be Huckleberry's, and the other, Cherry pie filling. Looking forward to sharing my desert this Sunday for potluck when its dessert time.

I have eaten this pie for over 45 years and it is awesome and recipe a breeze. However I would not add the lemon juice until right before you mix it with the electric mixer. I was interrupted and let mixture sit for about 5 minutes before mixing and it had lumps. Looking forward to trying my creation tonight when its dessert time.

We love this pie! My Dad and I would ask for this instead of a Birthday cake. The only difference is Mom put it a regular pie crust. I've made it without adding the pie filling on top, and then for each individual serving add what flavor is desired, such as blueberry. My DH loves the blueberry version. I'll put this in my cookbook! Thanks for posting!

I learned how to cook from my mom, and love to putz around in the kitchen. I watch many shows on The Food Network, too, though Good Eats is my favorite. I have many recipes of my own but am always looking for something that's just a bit different. I am now on the look out for great tasting lower carb recipes, and for natural/organic, whole foods. Feel free to send me Zmail!
My photo - this a photo was taken at The Hofbrau Haus in Munich, Germany in April 2007. My mom and I took a wonderful 3-week tour last year and ate here twice. The food was homey and delicious, and the bier was great! I can't believe I finished the whole thing...
