Even though DS (16 yrs) didn't think this had enough flavor, I'm giving it a 5 star rating. DH & I thought it was a nice change from my regular recipe & we both enjoyed it. The deciding factor between 4 & 5 stars though is that my toddler stayed at the table 10 minutes longer than anyone else, asking for more & more & more! DH was looking forward to the leftovers tomorrow but all that's left now is a little bit of meat. DD ate all the potatoes, all the celery (which she usually picks out) and all the carrots! :) Basically, if my picky eater will eat it, it's a keeper! This is a great comfort food recipe & I loved that it was made in the crockpot instead of on the stove. Thanks for sharing, Anne! Made & enjoyed for Spring 2009 Pick A Chef Orphanage.
