  • 4 cups grain (like oats,steam-rolled)
  • 8 tablespoons flour
  • 12 cup molasses
  • 34 cup water

directions

  • Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl.
  • Stir with large spoon until mixture is the consistency of thick cookie dough.
  • Drop tablespoons of dough on a greased cookie sheet,spacing cookies 1 inch apart.
  • Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour or until crisp.
  • Remove from oven,and cool for 30 minutes.

  1. My old nag will eat anything and she spit these out. Have you ever SEEN a horse actually spit something out? Was not easy for her...anyhow the horse was appalled but the 4 steers who share the barn with her adored them and clamored for more. Have you ever seen a 2500 pound animal clamor??? A keeper for that sight alone! "The Boys" thank you!

Hello everyone,I was introduced to this site by my friend Peppermintkitty....I love the site so far..... Let's seeeee, I live in a rural Oklahoma town (in the middle of nowhere! haha) I'm married and have 3 beautiful daughters,ages 12,11 & 8.....I'm a nurse in a nursing home and love to collect recipes..although I find it hard to find the time to cook like I used to, but I must say I can cook pretty good! or at least my hubby doesn't complain! :) We have 2 dogs, a yellow lab,Prince, and a female Shi-tzu,Lexie..Lots of cats and 4 horses,Honey,Jewelz,Guardian and Angel.They are my babies!! I stay really busy with work,kids and hubby! But am hoping I can meet lots of new people on here....
