Now that its apple season, we make stuffed apples everytime we have a oven meal.

  • Place apples in baking dish.
  • Pour cider over apples.
  • In small bowl mix the cranberries or cherries with the walnuts.
  • Divide mixture among the six apples and stuff in the center of each apple.
  • Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg over apples.
  • Place in preheated 350 degrees oven.
  • Baste during baking several times.
  • Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.

    These are very good. I didn't have the cider on hand so I used the old standby apple juice. Made for TOTM "Tag It Red".

    this was really good. i didn't have cider so used apple juice and cut out all suger and add tones of cinnamon it was really good. the 2nd time i made it, i added chopped dried dates it added more flavor with the cranberries thank Dancer for this recipe
