Found this recipe in Southern Living a year or so again - glad to see it here on Recipezaar! These are SO delicious!! I made them on Christmas day when we had a casual get together - playing darts with friends after everyone had had enough family time. :) I made everything according to recipe and they were delightful! One word of advice - they smell up the house something fierce! So make them on a nice day so you can have your windows open to air it out! LOL They are worth smelling up the house like brussels sprouts though! We had NO leftovers.

DH raved about these. What a great recipe. I didn't use as much bacon as called for since my sprouts were so small (I used frozen). The flavor was excellent. I served this with the mustard sauce and also some ranch dressing. I also used metal skewers instead of the tooth picks and placed them over a foiled rimmed pan since I didn't have a wire rack turning them over half way through cooking time. Worked like a charm Thanks so much for sharing. Made for I Recommend

That much maligned vegetable, the humble Brussel sprout, is an absolute star in this yummy recipe, thanks no doubt to the delicious bacon and the wonderfully flavoursome creamy mustard sauce. ;) These would make fantastic appetisers that I can well imagine would disappear in a flash! On this occasion, I made half the quantity for three of us and we enjoyed them with a - nearly - vegetarian meal with Recipe #248968 and Recipe #250652. I enjoy a lot of vegetarian dishes but bacon is something I would be reluctant to give up and this recipe was yet another reminder of why! Although I made only a half quantity of the bacon wrapped sprouts, I made a full serve of the creamy mustard sauce and was so glad that I had done so as we all enjoyed it and the rice was great served with it for mopping up every last drop. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, mary. Made for 1-2-3 Hit Wonders.

I have two boys who will usually eat most things I put in front of them. As a single mom I use them as my guinea pigs....sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have a huge garden, blueberry and blackberry bushes. I am always looking for a new recipe. I have three cats (Xiao Mao, which means little cat in Chinese, Pumpkin and Max) and two border collies, Lucy and Grace. All my animals come from Rescue Agencies.
