Asian Steak Rub

"This is good with extra soy sauce served on the side."

• Yields: 3 Tablespoons

ingredients

• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon Chinese five spice powder
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon ground ginger
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon ground red pepper
• 1⁄2 teaspoon sesame oil

directions

1. In a cup, stir all ingredients together.
2. Rub full amount all over steaks before grilling.
3. Makes 3 tablespoons.

Very nice - but pretty salty. I would reduce the amount of salt to half, perhaps - otherwise the flavours were wholesome and went very well together with lamb steaks.
