Angel Food Delight

Angel Food Delight created by Ms B.

I found this in a magazine, I believe it was "Quick & Easy" while waiting for an appointment. Unfortunately, I do not remember what they called it so I have just called it Angel Food Delight. It sounded too easy to be true but it was wonderful. The original recipe said to chill for an hour but I found it took longer for the flavors to merge. I liked the adaptability of using different toppings. The recipe called for 2 cans of Pie Filling but I found 1 to be sufficient. However, use your own judgement. While the flavor is rich, it is not a heavy dessert and everyone has loved it.

Could you use anything else besides the pie filling as a topping? I was thinking crushed Oreos or Butterfinger Candy Bars? Thoughts

Easy to prepare, tastes GREAT, smooth and creamy. What a nice dessert this turned out to be!! I used cherry pie filling with a little almond extract mixed in, this was a hit!

Great! only used 1 can of cherry pie filling, but a large container of frozen whipped topping. We loved it!

I have a similar recipe posted that uses a fresh strawberry and homemade glaze as a topping. This is a very easy alternative. Today, I chose to use cherry pie filling, as my Hubby likes that best. Thanks for posting.
