Amarula Swizzler

"Delicious drink that could double as dessert! I love Amarula and this is like a grown up milkshake.....yummo! Got this one from Food and Drink magazine."

• Ingredients: 6
• Serves: 1

ingredients

• 1 ounce Amarula cream liqueur
• 1⁄2 ounce rum
• 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
• 1 ounce milk
• 4 ice cubes
• butterscotch syrup

directions

1. To a blender, add Amarula Cream Liquor, Rum, ice, vanilla ice cream and milk.
2. Blend until slushy.
3. Using a squeeze bottle, decorate the inside of a highball glass with butterscotch syrup.
4. Pour contents from blender into highball glass, swirl on top with butterscotch syrup.

My oldest daughter turned me on to Amarula a few months ago. Sushiman and I were both flying to the States and she asked up if we would bring her back a bottle from Duty Free. Neither one of us had even heard of this liqueur before. We each brought back a bottle, so we gave her one and got to keep the other. Yummy stuff! I tried this recipe the other night, and used chocolate syrup instead of the butterscotch since that's what we had in the house. I used homemade vanilla ice cream. Even though it was a bit chilly outside this was a great drink that evening, the perfect dessert that night! Thanks so much for posting this.
