I doubled the garlic, used one red onion & one white onion, and sauteed veggies with two sliced up cheddar brats until they just started to brown. Pureed in pot with immersion blender after simmering. Added two cups of sour cream no milk and 2/3C of parmesan cheese, doubled the hot sauce and added a few dashes of Cheyenne pepperr. Finally topped with chives and thin strips of sharp cheddar. Unbelievable. If you're not worried about your girlish figure give it a try ??
can I use normal chocolate like milk chocolate instead of white chocolate because I don't have white chocolate
I don't normally go for or write reviews where changes were made but here I go. I decided to make this to use up a can of cream of celery soup. Used fresh broccoli lightly steamed tender-crisp (so as not to get mushy after heating the casserole in the oven) rather than frozen. I also cut up and sauteed some chicken breast and added it to make it more of a complete meal. Used plain Ritz crackers instead of cheese crackers. After tasting this, I think cheese crackers would probably be a bit much (at least for me). This was a very quick and easy meal. I was expecting something more soupy that I might have to serve over rice. But, it was thick enough to serve by itself so we could skip the rice and watch our carbs. My cooking time was 35-45 mins., not the stated 45-55 mins. Like others have stated, could use some seasoning but that is where you can make it your own. I could also see switching cheeses, different crackers for topping, maybe adding ham, different vegetables. Great base recipe to take any direction you want.
