I also experienced a 'baking powder' taste'. So next time I'll reduce baking powder to 1 1/2 tsp and omit salt. I drizzled some 'macadamia nut butter on the muffins and it tasted great.

  2. Add other ingredients, stirring until just moistened.
  3. Spoon into 12 greased muffin tins.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
