This recipe sounds so good! However, mine did not taste very good. I did change a couple of things--so it might be my fault! I added walnuts instead of dates and I added a little cinnamon. It just tasted too much like baking powder to me. I'm sure dates or raisins would add a little more sweetness to it. I drizzled my muffin with some extra honey, and it did help. It's a great recipe, just not my taste! Thanks!

These muffins are out of this world! We LOVED these.I wish that I could just make another batch but I am out of honey. I had exactly 1/4 cup. I thought that I had bought more but didn't and I was really stressing it! I added walnuts instead of dates. I did want to add raisins but I was out although I thought that I still had some ;-) I added walnuts instead. I also added about 5 casules of flaxseed oil. You do not need butter for these little morsels. They are wonderful the way that they are. These would be very good for breakfast with a bowl of fresh chopped fruit of even a glass of orange juice. Thank you so much, Dancer. This is a keeper.
