Wacky Cake (Spice Cake)

This recipe is super easy, and it's great if you don't have milk or eggs on hand. The cake is really moist.

• Total Time: 35 mins
• Prep Time: 5 mins
• Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients:

Servings: 6

• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon ginger
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1/3 cup vegetable oil
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup water

Directions:

1. -preheat oven to 350.
2. -stir the dry ingredients together.
3. -add in the wet ingredients
4. -grease an 8 by 8 inch pan.
5. -cook for about thirty minutes.

Very moist and easy to make. It doesn't need any icing!

This was a very moist cake indeed. It looks like it is a chocolate cake but it is not. Has a wonderful flavor. My DD wanted to make a little heart shape cake for her boyfriend's birthday tomorrow. We made one heartshape and one smaller loaf pan size. Wanted something fast for her. I don't do box brands. I guess the lighting is off a bit because it wasn't that dark of a cake. This recipe doesn't make a high rising cake though. Not sure if it should of or not. Anyways it tasted good. My DD put icing on the heart shaped one , and I told her not to ice the other one, I am not into eating icing sugar. Thanks for the post of this recipe AlwaysAl so glad it was quick to put togehter.
