- 9.85 ml vegetable oil
- 236.59 ml chopped onion (, about 2 medium)
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 709.77 ml water
- 473.18 ml coarsely chopped potatoes (, about 2 medium)
- 236.59 ml dried lentils, sorted and rinsed
- 59.14 ml chopped fresh parsley
- 2.46 ml ground cumin
- 2.46 ml salt
- 1.23 ml pepper
- 1.23 ml ground mace
- 226.79 g fresh mushrooms, cut in half
- 793.78 g can whole tomatoes, undrained
directions
- Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Saute onions and garlic in oil.
- Stir in remaining ingredients; break up tomatoes.
- Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
