- 1 (18 1/4 ounce) package yellow cake mix
- egg, oil, water, etc for the cake mix
- 5 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1⁄2 cup crisco vegetable shortening
- 1⁄2 cup margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sugar
directions
- Bake the cake according to package directions in a greased and floured 9x13 pan. Cool completely. Cut in half lengthwise.
- Cook flour and milk, bringing to a boil until thick. Cool completely!
- In a bowl, add the rest of the ingredients to the milk. MIx on high for 8 minutes. Put bottom half of cake back in the pan and spread filling over it. Top with the other half of the cake. Keep refrigerated.
