ingredients
- 6 cups turkey (shredded)
- 2 cups onions (diced)
- 4 cups green chilies (diced)
- 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 14 ounces white beans (drained)
- 1 lb tomatillo
- 4 jalapenos
- 1⁄2 bunch cilantro
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups beef stock
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 4 tablespoons cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon sage leaf
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon salt
directions
- Add tomatillos, jalapenos and cilantro to blender and puree.
- In a stock pot saute onions in olive oil until tender but not brown.
- Add tomatillo mixture and all other ingredients to stock pot.
- Simmer for 1 to 2 hours.
- Serve with homemade tortillas, cheese, sour cream, green onions, or whatever you like with your chili. Also works great for smothered burritos.
