1. I found turkey thighs on special at the supermarket and was looking for a recipe to make with them. Boy, am I glad to have stumbled upon this winner! We had this for dinner tonight and really enjoyed it. I halved the recipe to accommodate 1.5 lb turkey without any problems and kept it in the crockpot for about 8 hours (which was fine and probably it could even go longer if the cook needed). This recipe is also extremely easy to prepare (I came home on my lunch hour, did the fast prep, and got it going in the crockpot). Since I take a dance class later in the evening, it was great to have dinner on the table right when I got home. Since this yields a nice flavorful sauce, we served over mashed potatoes as well as a side of green beans. I would definitely make this again. The only modification I made was to chop the olives because I have heard DH comment one too many times, "I would chop the olives for better distribution..." :) Thanks so much!

 2. Wow. Wow. This is incredibly good! I used boneless skinless chicken thighs instead of turkey, but other than that, I made this exactly as written, and OMG!!! Herty, sweet, spicy with the tang of kalamata olives. This just might be the perfect recipe.

 3. I LOVE this recipe so much I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant. (With thanks to Tracey Jordan/30 Rock.) I used crushed dried chillies for the crushed red pepper flakes, and I used port -- not sure if it is "ruby port" because I don't know what that is. Everything else was just as written. My husband and I were both so thrilled with the hot-sweetness. Really something different! We had ours with couscous... Please make this immediately, don't make me come over there!

My rating system: (I don't like giving bad reviews, so if I don't like it, I'll just not review it.)

5 Stars OMG, this is one of the most amazing things I've ever eaten! I can't stop eating it, and I've eaten myself into a food coma.

4 Stars The recipe is wonderful as is. I can't think of a single improvement and I will most likely make it again.

3 Stars This needed a little *something*something*. I might make it again, but will add my own improvements if I do.

I love to eat! And I love to cook. I tend to take over the kitchen when I get in there. Even the dog knows the command get outta my kitchen! LOL. Cooking for other people and trying new recipes or foods is FUN! I have a small (but growing quickly!!) cookbook collection and one of my favorite things to do is to read recipes and plan meals. Rachael Ray, Horn of the Moon and Moosewood are favorites of mine.

We spend a lot of time outdoors camping, hiking and backpacking. Yup. I cook in the woods too! I've made deals with my hiking buddies... If they carry in my food, I'll cook for them. I recently published a backpacking cookbook.
