    This dressing is served and enjoyed at the turkey suppers served by one of our local church catering groups - they have shared the recipe. Another favorite from the prairies found in "A Taste Of Heaven" Cookbook - a cookbook compiled with local recipes which helped fund a StairLift for those no longer able to climb the steps. People come from miles around for those turkey suppers and banquets prepared and served by - yes volunteers!

      Cube the bread (I like to cube it the day before) dice and chop the apples and vegetables.

      In large pan add margarine; saute the celery and onion then add all the rest of the remaining ingredients - pour over the cubed bread.(I like adding the bread cubes to the pan and toss to mix).

      NOTE - this is the basic recipe - taste and add more of the seasonings you like until it is pleasing to you (I add more sage).

      Stuff the turkey breast and cavity using skewers where needed.
