Teriaki sauce and onions make this burger anything but dull

  1. Combine the first four ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions, shaping each portion into a 1/2-inch thick patty.
  3. Combine teriaki sauce and water in a small bowl.
  4. Place a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium heat until hot.
  5. Add the onion slices to the skillet, cover and cook 10 minutes or until the onion is golden brown. Stir in 1 Tbsp teriaki mixture. Remove onion from pan and keep warm.
  6. Add olive oil to pan.
  7. Add patties and cook five minutes over medium heat.
  8. Add 3 Tbsps teriaki mixture to pan and carefully turn patties over and cook for three minutes or until they are golden.
  9. Place one patty on one half of each bun and top with 1/4 cup onion, 2 tomato slices, and 1 lettuce leaf.
  10. Top with remaining buns.

I halved the recipe and used ground chicken. Turned out very well. Will definitely make this dish again.

I loved these burgers! I used fresh minced garlic instead of the powdered and made up my own Cajun seasoning mix. They were really tasty and not one bit bland which can sometimes be a problem with ground turkey. Thank you so much for posting. These babies will be on my next OAMC session menu.
