- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups white bread, cubed
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can tomato puree
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
directions
- Melt butter and pour over bread and toss. Heat the tomato puree, water, salt, and brown sugar. Simmer 5 minutes and pour over bread crumbs. Toss. Bake at 350 degrees in covered casserole for 45 minutes.
