I made these cookies for a family reunion in Mississippi. Now I am sending the recipe to family members in Indiana and Florida. Everyone raved about these cookies. I found that it is best to transfer the baked cookie from the cookie sheet to a plate instead of a wired rack to cool. I used 1 stick of butter and 1/2 cup of shortening instead of 1 cup of shortening which resulted in a buttery flavor.

I never write reviews, and joined this network solely to write this one! This is really the best cookie recipe ever. They are so good I have to get them out of my house or I will eat them all!!! Thank you for sharing the recipe!

These cookies are now a staple in my house! I make them a bit smaller so I probably get 4-6 dozen small ones but they don't last long. The cookie is all the best cookies wrapped up into one - a peanut butter cookie, an oatmeal cookie & a chocolate chip cookie! Thanks for sharing!
