Thai Beef Salad

- 2 lbs filet of beef
- 1 tablespoon lime zest
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 2 teaspoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons mint leaves, chopped
- 4 ounces mixed salad greens
- 4 ounces cherry tomatoes
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 2 fresh mango, peeled. pitted and sliced
directions
- Prepare a fire in a grill and cook beef over high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until done to your liking (8-10 minutes for rare; 10-12 for medium-rare; 12-15 minutes for well done). Let stand in a warm place for 5 minutes to rest.
- Combine the lime zest and chili sauce with fish sauce, sesame oil, lime and cilantro. Toss salad leaves in a bowl with cherry tomatoes and onion. Pour over dressing and toss again. Arrange slices of mango and thinly sliced beef over the top. Serve salad with crusty bread, if desired.

YUM! I used left over cooked steak and microwaved it so it was warm. For the sauce, I boiled a little water, added fish sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, tiny bit of chili sauce, and garlic. Let sauce cool, then pour it over the beef salad. Yes, with added water to the sauce it's a bit runny, but I like it! I omitted the mango and added carrots and bell peppers. It's sooooooooo good! Thanks!

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
