Good very basic sauce. It was posted in the Winnipeg Free Press many years ago, but is still a favorite. I think it is the basic sauce you get in chinese restaurants.

  1. Mix together water, sugar, vinegar, ketchup, and soy sauce.
  2. Mix cornstarch and water together and add to sauce.
  3. Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
