  • In a large skillet, brown beef, onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic, and drain well.
  • Add spaghetti sauce, mushrooms, and seasonings, and heat to a boil.
  • Turn heat down and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions, and drain.
  • With electric mixer, beat cream cheese until creamy and add sour cream and cheeses.
  • Butter deep 11x14 inch baking dish.
  • Layer half the noodles, half of beef mixture, and half the cheeses.
  • Repeat layers.
  • Bake covered at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • Remove covering and bake an additional 10-15 minutes.

  1. This recipe is so good. I didn't have egg noodles so I used lasagna. But I'd have to try with egg noodles another time. I used spaghetti sauce with meat that I made so it was a lot of meat in the recipe but it was great :) I used fresh mushrooms. I didn't have enough sour cream, so I added ricotta until I got 1 pint. Thanks weekend cooker :) Made for the Australian swap for december 2010

Will make no adjustments. <br />3 stars - good, might consider an adjustment <br />2 stars- Okay- will make adjustment <br />1 star- debatable I will make again, would with right adjustment <br />0 stars - Will not attempt again.</p>
