Strawberry Pie

ingredients
- 1 baked pie crust
- 2 quarts strawberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- whipped cream
directions
- Place 1 quart of the fresh whole strawberries into the baked pie crust.
- Mash the remaining quart of berries.
- Mix the sugar and cornstarch together and add it to the mashed berries.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium to medium high heat, stirring constantly. Cook until the mixture thickens and clears.
- Cool mixture slightly.
- Pour mixture over the strawberries in the pie crust. Chill several hours.
- Top with whipped cream and serve.
