Special Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

ingredients

• 2 cups unsalted butter
• 24 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 4 cups flour
• 2 cups brown sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 (8 ounce) Hershey special dark mildly sweet bar (grated)
• 5 cups pulverized oatmeal
• 4 eggs
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 3 teaspoons vanilla
• 3 cups chopped nuts (optional)

directions

1. Measure oatmeal and pulverize in blender till fine powder.
2. Cream butter and both sugars.
3. Add eggs and vanilla to butter.
4. Mix flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
5. Mix butter and flour together.
6. Add chocolate chips, grated chocolate and nuts.
7. Bake at 375°F.
