"This came from my sunday school teacher, Diana Graham, way back in 1991. I don't know where she is now, but I still make her cookies! This recipe is 3 WW Pts."

If you omit the step about rolling the cookie dough in colored sprinkles, this this almost exactly the original recipe from the Quaker box, called Quaker's Best Oatmeal Cookies. It's almost perfect, as oatmeal cookies go. (In my opinion, anyway.) Adding a cup of either raisins or chopped walnuts (or a combination of the two) can put these right over the top. (Again, just my opinion.)

This is the oatmeal cookie recipe that I've been looking for! My boyfriend hates oatmeal cookies but he loved these. They were gone quickly and then he immediately requested another batch. The cookies came out perfectly for me at 8 minutes baking time. I didn't roll the cookies in sugar but other than that, I followed the recipe exactly.

I am a working mom of a beautiful little girl Keira Lynn. Watching her grow has been such a joy! My husband and I were married in May of 2006 on the beautiful island of Kauai. Since discovering this site, I have been cooking much more and have found some incredible recipes. I absolutely love to cook and try out new recipes, but have a handful of family favorites that I make quite often. My husband loves to cook as much as I do. To avoid anyone monopolizing the kitchen, we have to designate who gets to cook dinner in advance. He specializes in Asian cuisine and I love trying new healthy recipes.
