Sour Lemon Sauce

- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 1⁄2 cups warm water
- 7 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 2 lemons, zest of
- 1⁄2 cup fresh lemon juice
directions
- Bring sugar, cornstarch, salt and warm water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat, whisking constantly. Cook, whisking constantly, until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in butter and lemon zest and juice. Cook, whisking until smooth, 2-3 minutes more. Remove from heat; transfer to a medium bowl to cool completely before putting into jars. Sauce can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
