This is a huge hit with my brother-in-law... he ate almost the entire batch.
Make and share this Smoked Salmon Dip recipe from Food.com.
- 6 -8 ounces smoked salmon (home smoked if possible)
- 16 ounces whipped cream cheese
- liquid smoke
- lemon juice
- Flake the salmon into a medium bowl. Add cream cheese, 1/8 - 1/4 t liquid smoke, 1 or 2 T horseradish and 1 T lemon juice. Mix well. Cover w/plasice wrap, refrigerate overnight. Serve with crackers.
I also skipped the liquid smoke because I felt the smoky flavor of my salmon was plenty. Tossed everything into a food processor for a couple of pulses, and voila! DELISH!
This dip is FANTASTIC!!Followed recipe as posted. Refrigerating overnight really brought the flavors together. A definite must have recipe for any salmon lover! Thanks for sharing!
Love this stuff! As my salmon already had a nice, smoky flavor, I didn't add the liquid smoke. I added 2T of horseradish. I use it as a spread on bagels.
