  1. In a medium saucepan, combine beans, onion, and garlic, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Season with cilantro, cayenne, and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes, and serve.

These were incredible. I made them without onions just for personal preference but my husband has named them the best beans he has ever eaten. Thank you for such an easy recipe.

I really liked this as a side dish with my crockpot enchiladas last night. I added a little cumin and a good dose of salt. Yum! I think I'll serve it with rice in tortillas next time.

Sometimes simplicity can be the best! This was a nice change of pace from the normal refried beans usually served with Mexican fare. And it came together even quicker than the time states. For my own personal prefernce, I might saute the onion and garlic in a little butter before adding in the beans next time. Thanks for posting! Made for ZWT3.
