As Evelyn said, this isn't very savory (it was sweeter than I expected, even after her review, and after I bumped up the cheese to 8 oz!) but is very nice! The texture was also more muffin-like than I expected, but still very good! This would be great for a brunch or shower and is very unique! I might also make this in mini-muffins for nice little bites. Thank you for the good recipe!

This really is not as savoury as you'd expect - it's actually quite sweet, thanks to the raisins. This makes a rather flat 'pie', and a rather nice side to salad dinner or to enjoy with a glass of wine. The smoked gouda does give a nice flavour but the crust is awesome. Both sweet and savoury - it was great with a glass of wine. This is really quite a unique recipe and I know I'll be making it again.

I live in a little house with my husband and my three "puppies" (all dogs are puppies to me, no matter how old they are). We have no children as of yet. I love to cook, but not to clean, and I won't cook unless my kitchen is clean, so I don't cook as much as I should. Some of my other hobbies are: role playing games, reading, SCA, garage saleing, and sewing. I am a pack rat, but I am trying to cut back on that, and I have far too many kitchen gadgets and cookbooks.(If there is such a thing.)
