ingredients
- 680.38 g ground beef
- 236.59 ml milk
- 14.79 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 4.92 ml chopped sage leaves or 1.23 ml dried sage
- 2.46 ml salt
- 2.46 ml ground mustard
- 1.23 ml pepper
- 1 garlic cloves, finely chopped or 0.61 ml garlic powder
- 1 egg
- 3 slice bread, torn into small pieces or 118.29-177.44 ml dry breadcrumbs, enough to soak up liquid
- 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
- 118.29 118.29 ml chili sauce or 118.29 ml barbecue sauce
directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix all ingredients except ketchup.
- Spead mixture in ungreased loaf pan, 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 or 9 x 5 x 3 inches, or shape into 9 x 5-inch loaf in ungreased rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches.
- Spread ketchup over top.
- Bake uncovered 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until thermometer reads 160 degrees Farheinheit.

I live in Las Vegas now, but I am originally from Pennsylvania....Philly area. I really miss the good food from back there, because the food out here is awful. People stop making homey food the farther west you get or something. I am a housewife and mother of two. My husband and I love our new little additions to our family. My favorite cookbooks are little bits and pieces of everyone else's. I like to make recipes that people have been making for years in their family and start a tradition with mine.
