Sausage Casserole

"Full of flavor, eggs, sausage, cheese, with a few spice thrown in between. I got this recipe from a friend of mine at church. It is a hit!"

  • Place bread in well-buttered 9x13 inch casserole dish to cover bottom. Brown sausage, drain and mix in mustard. Place sausage evenly over bread., sprinkle cheese over sausage (can stop here and freeze). Combine eggs, milk, cream and seasonings. Pour over casserole. Bake in oven at 350 for 35-40 minutes or until set in middle.

  1. I'm not going to rate this because I don't know if I did something wrong. I halved the recipe for just the two of us and made just as stated. I checked it at 40 minutes and it was still runny so I put it in for another 10. Being hungry, I decided to take it out thinking it needed to set for a few minutes. Well, it didn't help. The bread was sooo soggy and the eggs didn't really set up. It was a runny mess. I love anything with sausage and cheese so I was really hoping this would be amazing but it just didn't work for me. Thanks for posting anyways Ami Jo.
