- 414.03 ml rigatoni pasta, uncooked
- vegetable oil cooking spray
- 59.14 ml onion, chopped
- 170.09 g Italian turkey sausage
- 4.92 ml italian seasoning
- 0.25 ml crushed red pepper flakes
- 177.44 ml red bell pepper, julienne cut
- 2.46 ml fennel seed, crushed
- 0.25 ml crushed red pepper flakes
- 411.06 g can no-salt-added whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
- 59.14 ml dry red wine (glass for the chef)
- 59.14 ml fresh Italian parsley, chopped
directions
- Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat. Drain and set aside.
- Coat a large skillet with cooking spray, and place over medium heat until hot.
- Add onion, sauté 3 minuets.
- Add sausage and next 3 ingredients, cook 5 minutes or until sausage is browned, stirring to crumble.
- Drain and set aside.
- Wipe skillet with paper towel.
- Coat skillet with spray; place over medium heat until hot.
- Add bell pepper, sauté 4 minuted.
- Add sausage mixture, tomatoes and wine, stir well.
- Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in parsley.
- Serve over pasta!
