- 2 cups sugar
- 1⁄2 lb butter
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 cups flour, sifted
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

Frosting
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
directions
- Cream well together sugar, butter or margarine, ricotta cheese, eggs and 2 teaspoons vanilla.
- Sift together flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture, mix well.
- Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown on bottom (about 10 minutes). Cool.
- Frosting:.
- Mix cream cheese, butter, confectioner's sugar and vanilla and mix well.
- Ice cookies with frosting.
