When looking for recipes to play Let's Party 2011 I found this and it reminded me so much of one my Mother used to make for us when we weren't feeling well and couldn't wait to make it. I had left over steamed rice so heated it up, added the milk and sugar-cinnimon mixture along with a tablespoon of butter (that's what Mom always did) and it was so nice. I really enjoyed it; I have photos but my pesky computer is not working so will have to come back to post when I get it working.

  1. Bring 6 cups water to boil. Add salt and rice. Stir well.
  2. Cook until rice is done, 15 minutes. Drain.
  3. Add milk. Heat and simmer slowly until well blended, 15 minutes.
  4. Serve in bowls with cinnamon sugar. Add cold milk if desired.
