Red Beans and Rice

ingredients
- 1 lb red kidney beans
- 2 large onions
- 1 bell pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 pinch sugar
- 2 lbs link sausage
directions
- Wash and sort beans.
- Put in large pot and cover with water.
- Let soak over night.
- Add 1 quart of water to beans in cooking pot and cook 3 hours.
- Water should just cover beans when done. Add onions, pepper, garlic, sugar, and sausage the last hour.
- Serve over rice.
