Pork Marinade

1 1/2 cups
ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup of kikomans soy sauce
- 1⁄2 cup apple juice or 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
directions
- Mix ingredients until sugar is dissolved.
- Pour over pork and let sit for 6 to 8 hours but no more than that.
- If you like you can rinse the pork before using it in your recipe or cooking.

Wow, for as simple a recipe as this is we sure had a tasty dinner tonight! And I like that you could build on this any way you really wanted to. I didn't rinse the marinade off the chops. Instead I actually added some pineapple tidbits and cornstarch to it and boiled it up for a sauce to top it. How yummy! Next time maybe I'll add some red pepper flakes or some chili paste to the marinade for a sweet/spicy mix. Great marinade recipe, it's a keeper!

LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT! That is what a marinade should be - a few ingredients that are common in your pantry and you can use over again. I purchase the small juice size cans of pineapple juice, so I used part of that and drank the rest... I only used 1/4 cup of soy sauce but would use the 1/2 recommended next time. For those of you who shy away from soy sauce like I do, the mixture smells very stong, but is not after the meat is cooked.

I have learned alot about cooking and baking from my Grandmother's and my Aunt's.We do a lot of canning, things like Jellies and Apple butter, Chow Chow,Mixed pickles, Strawberry jam, Gr. Beans and Pickled Beats. And my favorite is the homemade Strawberry Jam. We have even had several Mollasses Stir Offs in the Fall at my Church & we make Apple Butter and Cider. I was raised in the Southeast and we love to COOK. It must be something in the water? LOL & If it involves cooking count me in!!!
I Love the Food Network and all the cooking shows. I Have found alot of great recipes and made alot of friends from this Web site.
